Not at all off thread - everything is cool with the van thankyou.
It is sitting in my drive waiting to occupy the workshop full of bikes destined for either sale or stripping for restoration. Should be inside in a couple of weeks now

I have agonised for weeks over what to do with the damned hole where the window has been iserted on either side and yesterday decided to do the business and throw some metal in there. I reckon about a hundred pop rivets either side will do it (JOKING !!!) The van has so little rust I believe it is worthy of a good restoration warts and all.
The ute is wanted for another project or interim use while the van gets done although if someone came up with a really good ute I would consider a swap but given how rare the vans are i would probably regret it !!!
Any leads on a decent ute would be appreciated
