If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

G'day Brad, that's the sort of car most of us dream of finding, not only is it almost rust free but straight as well, good score there. Cool Cool

Cheers for the comments guys, its certainly a good base for a resto.
Not sure how far i want to go with it yet.
I may just take all glass out and hanging panels off and go for hi gloss black, tidy up engine bay etc,as the engine has been refreshened and tidied up ie. fan and pulleys and gen and starter painted red, block has been painted grey after a re ring kit put thru it.She has twin carbs, extractors and sounds like a mild cam.Otherwise stock.
But as you all know once you start stripping them you cant stop.
Cheers

Well i thought it was time for a little update.
Was out in the shed today and pulled all the brakes apart/off of the black std.
Havent posted updates as i havent done anything on her till today(too bloody busy working) Cry
Anyway i didnt take pics as we all know what dirty drum brakes look like.
Taking them to get all 4 drums machined,4 new wheel cylinders, new shoes all round, two new flexi brake lines and a new master cylinder.
20yrs sitting in a shed will do that to a car! Roll Eyes
Whilst i was in the shed i fired up the ol twin strommied Grey and man she sounds sweet.
Once brakes are done ill put a permit on her and get some paint quotes.
Cant wait to take her for a spin!
Got a front bench seat off of Stapla (Peter on here)
Will post some pics off the new brakes when there back on.
Cheers

Well ive shutzed the floor inside the FC and fitted my new brakes and master cyl.
However ive discovered that i need a new handbrake cable and all new brake lines.
All i wanted to do was drive the darn thing on a permit for 3 days before i stripped her.
I may end up just taking her apart ready for paint removal and worry about brakes when im putting the rest of her back together. Ill post pics of the dismantling progress soon
Gee sometimes i do things back to front i tell ya Roll Eyes
