Gday Fellas,

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good spray painter in Sydney ? Someone who doesnt mind working on old Holdens  Wink

Would even be interested in a 'backyard' spray painter (acrylic) ... yes - you can get good results (acrylic) this way with an experienced trademan behind the spray gun ...

Has anyone had a respray done lately? What did it cost you? What did you have done - inside / outside / engine bay. Where did you get it done ... private  or a paint shop. ??

Thx,
JD.

JD, it depends on the finish you want - Prices would range from about $3000 for a rub down, straighten up & paint to $30000 for a bare metal show class inside and out respray.
Major decision is whether you want bare metal start and what type of finish you want.

gday Ken ...

my body is dead straight ... so no work required in that area. Not looking for a bare metal respray. Just looking for a fresh coat of paint in the same colour -- as you put it "rub down, and paint"

Ive got about 3K-4K to spend .... so dont know if this is unrealistic expecting to get inside and out done in a spray shop Huh?

Huh

A few rust repairs and a slight bit of damage to the tailgate. Unfortunately have to get a few panels painted, including the roof. Possibly up to 5k worse case. I will forget the money one day, but I think the car deserves a good job. Got mucked about by people and promises, but  hopefully in 3-4 weeks It'll be finished and I can bolt on the new chrome. Will look great. Can't wait.
                   Cheers Glenn
