Hi all,
my father in law has an fc he has had since 20 and wants to fully restore it,
my question is the car seems to be the opposite of the factory colour,
its the dark blue with a light blue rear,
did the fc come original as this colour or has it been re painted?
thanks,
Rick

Hey Rick, if you put the vehicles numbers up the guys here will decode and tell you.

Find the Id Tag, chassis number, and even the engine number and you may get the manufacture date as well...

Cheers

Unlike the FJ Special, where the dark colour was almost always on the roof, most of the FC colours combinations were available with the colours at either end, so to speak. Two tone blue was certainly available with the dark front / light rear combination. A fairly exhaustive list can be found here.

There are a couple of codes "missing" from that list, like 257 or 307 - perhaps your Father in law's car could help fill in the gaps.

cheers
