I have used Colorex in Huntingdale for doors, bonnets, subframe...not too far from Dandenong.

colerex dont do acid dipping and metalstrip only acid dip panels does any one now of any where in victoria who dip shells

I have NEVER heard of a company that actually acid dips cars, there is a company in Adelaide that dips cars but they use an alkaline solution, the solution they use does not harm or heat the metal, removes all rust and then treats it so the rust doesn't start again. Their rep is that good that someone avtually sent their car from Mt Gambier to Adelaide to get done, bypassing a local soda-blaster.
Like shot-peening parts for a motor rebuild, blasting can harden the metal surface making repairs more difficult.

yes...I think that, despite the common name, its usually sodium hydroxide that is used. That said some dippers do use phosphoric acid or even hydrochloric (although anything pulled out of the latter will rust very quickly unless neutralised). I guess the risk is that the solution will be very hard to remove from box sections etc.. I have certainly found it hard to remove even from hidden parts of bonnets so would not like to do a full body shell this way. Bead or soda blasting is pretty good....it does take months to get rid of the stuff afterwards...but at least its not eating away at your car in the mean time.

Could you remove soda blast media by hosing it out thereby dissolving it?
or is this problematic?

This was part of the idea to use bi carb as a blast media, all those that I know that use the soda as a blast media in engine rebuilding praise it so highly as when they have finished blasting it is just a matter of throw the item in the hot tub for a few minutes and hey presto all traces of blast media have been dissoved.
I cannot see why it would not be the same with a body shell, blast it, hose it down, dry it off, a quick hit with deoxidine, etch primer and then prime it to ensure that it doesn't rust.
