G'Day All,

I know this topic has been discussed in the past, however with a new Ignition Coil (e.g. Bosch GT 40) is the orientation with the cable facing down OK, or are they required to be mounted horizontally due to modern specs?

The instructions suggest mounting on the Firewall or Inside Fender.

Regards

John,

The HT lead faces down when bolted to the side plate. The Bosch GT 40 will be fine mounted this way.

Thanks Keith,

I will modify the Bkt that came with the GT 40 to suit a vertical position on the Grey.

If you still have the original bracket all you need do is cut the legs off the one you got with the new coil and use the round part as a spacer between the new coil and the old bracket as the GT40 is a little smaller diameter than the original

Thanks Frank,

I'll check this Bkt before I modify the new one.
