Firewall section wanted from the drivers side about 12 inches square with the center being the brake and clutch master cylinder's bolt holes.

Hi Kevin and Tony,
I think you may be talking about different things Undecided.
Tony means that the (internal, cardboard/hessian backing) firewall insulation panels have been repro.ed, while Kevin may be talking about needing a section of the actual steel firewall panel?
If I'm wrong, just forget I spoke Embarrassed.

Hey Kev,
You might want to check out the FC sedan shell at Centre Rd Wreckers in Springvale.
They have a fairly stripped shell and I think that part of the firewall is there.

The challenge is to get it - perhaps try calling them and see if they will cut it out for you (them are a self service place).

Check out their website here: http://www.autowreckers.com.au/Home/Home.asp

Hmm, it was still there about 2 weeks ago, stuck between a HD & a HK Wagon.
If you can wait until Saturday I can go down there and check if it's still there.

A check on Google maps shows it was there about 12 months ago - type in: "centre road wreckers clayton vic" Grin It's a bit above the centre of the main yard, parked close to vertical in the image (the left hand row) between 2 diagonal rows of cars. Look for white roof & green bonnet, no boot, below a white ute... can you find it??

More likely they didn't know what an FC was  Wink

Hi Kev,
FC is still at Centre Rd Wreckers in Clayton:

They will cut it out for you but would not give me a price - busy on weekends... so you would have to talk to them during the week. My guess is that they would not be cheap so maybe stinky may be a better option particularly as you are on the other side of Melbourne.

Rabbitoh, was your interst in the sub frame?? If so, it is rusted on left hand side however right side is good.

Ken, No ID plate but chassis No is 82875M.

Thanks Trev for your time spent checking that out.  Smiley Smiley
I should have enough equipment to remove that section, only need access for towing a generator in.
Plan A: Phone them Monday and cut it out on Wednesday.
Plan B: Check out Stinky's bargins.  Grin Grin

Cheers Kevin

They are putting words into my mouth Stinky Grin, perhaps I should have said a bit more realistic??

Self Service Wreckers are a funny breed - most want to charge you the same price regardless of the age, condition or true value of a part - these guys are usually quite good but if you want them to do something then it's expensive.

Hi Trevor,
I need the front half floor pan from sill to sill (left to right), and from centreline of front seat to a few inches up from base of firewall (back to front).
Our van looks like Fred Flintstone's ride at present .
Thanks,
R.
