The Vic club auction night is on again!  The date is Saturday the 25th of July and we are looking for items to include in our list.
We are looking for new old stock parts, accessories or memorabilia.

The club takes 10 % of the sale value, the seller gets the rest.

Contact me for further details if you are interested in selling at our auction.

A list will be posted soon for those interested in bidding.

Big news!!

Bill Wellwood is back as our auctioneer!!

For those not aware, Bill was Shannons Insurance's main auctioneer for many years and is quite a character. One of the most entertaining auctioneers I have ever seen and worth coming just to see him in action.

Bill was our auctioneer for a number of years until about 5 years ago when he retired, but now he has agreed to do our auction as a favour because he likes our easy going fun night atmosphere.

So come along and see him in action and maybe make a few bids Grin

The final auction list is now done and will be posted very soon. We are now open for absentee bids on any of the items. For those that have bid in the past, you know how it works.
For new bidders, here is a brief run down on how proxy bidding works.
1. You give me your upper limit for an item and I hold this confidentially.
2. At the auction I bid on your behalf to get the item as cheaply as possible. Ie you may not have to pay right up to the amount that you bid.
3. I contact you with any items that you have won and we work out a payment arrangement.
4. The buyer does not pay any fees.
Once payment has been received, the goods are posted.

Simple as that - so as soon as you see the FINAL list posted by fc104, then you can start to contact me with bids.

It may just be me but there seems like some double ups on the list. The items on the top seem to appear on the bottom as well.
Cheers,

Quote
something for Craig A

The fabulous HB Brabham Torana.

Most under-rated 4 cylinder performance car of the 1960's.  Grin 79hp of tyre tearing excitement.

Do you think he regrets saying this?  Roll Eyes

I had a Brabham Torana when i was 18. I still have the broken grille badge from an accident i had. What would it be worth if i still had it today.I don't think i really want to know,i have not seen one since.

Regrets Neil

How many left - very very few. There were two series of them but from what I've read only a couple of hundred made.

How much would it be worth? IMHO not a great deal except for curiousity value. A perfect one maybe $10K, but who really knows as I've never seen a complete one for sale.

Sorry for the thread hijack - good luck with the auction night.

The last one I saw looked like this.

Good luck to all who made bids from this forum, and to those that are planning to attend, have a ball and good luck.
