Hello,

I was wondering what the Badge Stack stand for? Your help will be helpful. As there is one on the back of the FC I am restoring.

Regards,

Restport,
I'm reasonably sure it's a dealer badge; others here will know more.

Hi Jack,
You are exactly right. They were a Sydney dealership.

The badges say "Distributed by Stack", and there are two types: one with a thin bar top and bottom (one red, one black), and one with just the "Distributed by" bar at the top.

The were screwed to the bootlids of cars sold by Stack and Co., who owned Holden and GM dealerships around Sydney in the 50s.

For more info, check out this hilarious post regarding an Ebay auction for one of these, from about a thousand years ago.

cheers

Here is a pic (thanks Alex) of my Stack Badge, it's temporarily on the glovebox lid for now till I decide where I'm going to put it

Here are the warranty & purchase details that came with the car, it's surprising they survived as the car was pretty sad when I got it, I also have the change over engine warranty with the old engine no on it!

Cheers, Gary

G'day All,
talking about dealer badges, I was wondering whether anyone has a photo(s) of the Saville Brothers Hurstville decals, the Saville delivered vehicles all had a red decal along the bottom edge of the rear window and as I remember it a shield shaped Saville Bros decal to the left of the glovebox lid.
Would like to reproduce same.
Cheers Col
