Hi All
A Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
Anyone able to let me know where the flexible duct from the heater to the dash vents is able to be brought from.
The local shops seem to think it is made from unobtainiam.
Thanks for your help in the past

Hi fcmayberry,

I bought some hose for my Smiths heater from a company called Super Cheap Auto Spares here in Melb,It comes in 1 and 2mtr lengths and fits perfect.
Its a black plastic type product out-side and silver foil on the in-side with coiled wire through it.
Its not unlike the ducting used in the home for heating, it comes compressed and you stretch it to length.

Mery x-mas,
Steve.

When I was improvising on my last FC and needed heater ducting, I found that the flexible tubing off of an old vacuum cleaner was about the right size (at least it was an old vacuum cleaner after I was finished with it)
Cheers

fcmayberry,

Had a look at my car today and I had forgotten that I used PVC pipe as a socket to connect the rubber out-let to the ducting.
"Sorry"  Smiley

Steve.

Thanks Steve
Tried all the local supply shops again today, lost my cool at SuperCheap when they said they wanted an additional $15 per item to try and order in.  Roll Eyes Angry
I will try the out of town suppliers at the Summernats next week. If not back to the drawing board and aussie modifcations to make it all work.
I don't think there can be a standard FC in aus that has not been adapted to make things fit and work. Tongue
Catch you all later
