Good to see it coming together Paddy, looks like you are going save the Air Force signal sticker on the dash!

Is it possible to have it scanned & reproduced with a portable scanner while the screens out?

What colour are you painting it, original  Smiley  is that floor hump for the auto or are you going manual?

Keep the pics coming

Cheers, Gary

Hi

Gary,
Looking at painting it a pepper grey (metallic) sought of a more modern airforce colour and i like it, am keeping the sticker, even though it a bit scratched up , never thought about scanning it. Will be running a trimatic with 1500 stall.

FC427,
Not sure , my cousin is an engine rebuilder and he's doin the work on the motor, not sure how its going to go as he is putting a blue  202 crank in a red 186 block bored out to not sure 192 ? Big lumpy crank tripple strom carbs. He assures me he knows what hes doin, where he works has done quite a few good motors i've been told so ill have to wait and see. At the end he says it will work out to be a 208 or 218 capacity?? Will post all details when he has it all together.

thanks paddy

Wow - looks to be in terrific shape really - hard to find a ute in this shape nowadays.
Great looking quarters and rear section, in fact everything looks good!

Yeah, what Ken said.
You could not hope to see a better starting point for a ute.
Hope the decal cleans up OK.

All I want for Christmas is my new fresh chrome Grin

It's quite difficult not to be in the picture sometimes.

Total cost $3000. Paint should be started in the new year hopefully.

Looks like my old ute,i had the same sticker on the dash and it was that dark grey colour.Igot it off the original owner who aquired it from the air-force.I put a 149 trimatic in it with a chrome shifter and boot so it looked like 4 speed.i painted the engine bay and put the Tasmans on it,it's gotta be it .,keep it goin! Huh
