Interior Door Handle Spacer Plates

Would anyone have a couple of interior door handle spacer plates please? For some reason my front ones are thinner than the rears and it was really difficult to get the tool in between to get the spring clips to release. Because they're thinner the leading edges are also quite sharp and they have begun to cut into the trim. Not sure if they are repros or what's going on?? Thanks.

They get worn down by the winder handles and end up razor sharp and difficult to remove as you have described. They aren't repros, just worn out. Chuck them away and get some good ones. I have dozens here but you should be able to pick some up in the NSW club

Not wanting to argue with you Ken, but I thought Rares did plastic ones? They might not be for the FE/FC but same as the metal ones just plastic.

Later models have plastic ones, not sure which model they started with, maybe EJ. They are a straight swap, not much good for originality though.

I thought the plastic started in HK's and EJ EH HD HR still had the metal .......FC427.......

Yes plastic started in HK, they are a straight swap and can be used if originality is not an issue.

As Ken said they are a direct replacement and they do save the trim. I have spare metal ones if you want them.
