Love the BP ute in multicolour paint. Is it a light mounted on the front bumper of the ute or on the gates of the ferry?

I came across these pics amongst a series of photographs taken from slides.
The pics were taken in the early 60's and show a beautiful family FC.
No names, or locations, as they were acquired from a random box of slides bought at a market stall.
I love the insight these pics give into the early 60's way of life...the car, the house, the garden the clothes etc.
The pics were left large to allow you to check out the details....use the slide bar at the bottom of the pics.

Not an FC, but I included it here as it is a classic snapshot from the era...and it shows the back of the house. The girls names are Ros and Andrea (Andy).

Regards
Alex

Alex
Brilliant photos great to share them , shame they got left out to go to a jumble sale!! Anyway they are a fantastic snap of 60's life in the burbs in Australia reminds me of my aunties and Grandmother in the 60's in Reservoir in Melbourne always well dressed a Holden always in the drive and incredibly house proud. Notice that the first shot the lawn is freshly sown and the next one its cut short!
and the guy with the 2 girls in the drive love the elbow pad on the drivers door!! Thanks again

Thanks Alex.
Nice car, with extras.
I remember the arm rests were a popular Christmas gift. They worked well.
There's a mirror added on the guard in the same shot.
Is that a spot light attached to the sun visor mid way down?

Great pics Alex.
Looks like inner Adelaide suburbs in mid 60's
Registration number looks original as my wagon is November 57 and is 164 822
Car would not have been bought new as John H Ellers the holden dealer was not opened until 1963.
I have a picture of myself in cowboy suit in the same era. (no ankle holster though) Sad
Brings back great memories of my childhood times. Smiley

Cheers Stewy   Cool

I miss those punts. Remember being excited when a big truck would come on it and lurch it over.

I love all these pictures, great work digging them up and sharing them. There is a picture of me and my cousin in cowboy suits in almost the same pose as these girls, again no ankle holster.  Grin

IMHO the photos here should have an FE or an FC in them, unless there is a specific reason why not (eg the 2 little girls in cowgirl getup)

Can have an FX FJ as well as an FE FC  Grin
