Hi guys,I know this is a very, very long shot as I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times before but I am desperate for a  drivers side outer sill.I have two new Rare Spares sills here and was about to fit the drivers side one a couple of weeks ago but after having a proper look at it ( they've been in a box since I bought them) have realised that the end that meets up with the dogleg is absolute trash. The whole style line fades out from the B pillar to the back and the concave part up into the dogleg is actually convex.I rang Rares about it and they got another one in for me but after driving all the way down to get it,I found it was exactly the same as the one I have.I could spend hours trying to repair it but I would prefer to get something that actually resembles what it should. The only other thing that has got me stumped is that the passenger side repro is fine and has good definition.Any help appreciated.Cheers,Jamie. LOL, same thing happened to me, i had to take it back, they had 2 other sills there to pic from wich were barely any better, mine was twisted and the bit down the bottom that meets the inner sill was big at one end and barely there at the other and the top ditch that the bottom of your door would sit in was barely a faint line. i gave up and put it on, hopefully i can distract from it with lakes pipes and its used alot of bog there, most of the rares stuff is pretty good, beats the alternatives but it seems they didnt realise the sills would actually have to go on a car.

Jamie,

How about a pic?  I'm about to help "torana mad" do his outer sill section.  Last time I did it I actually hand formed that part on the lower dog leg, as the repro sills I used on the wagon were just straight sections (Spectrum panels).

Cheers

I have a pair of NOS GMH sills if anyone wants to look at or measure [NO NOT FOR SALE] but might help to get the repro ones right if you looked at the original sills ......FC427.......

Thanks for the replies guys.Firstly,I certainly have no gripe against Rare Spares,as they did everything I had hoped for with regards to trying to source me a better sill panel and I love their work with all the new products they bring out (I know a lot of club members help to get these parts on the go too) and I also agree with FCCOOL that most of their stuff is pretty good.I think I have decided to give it a go as this probably won't take as long to get right as some of the other stuff has taken to repair so far.I have attached some pics although the extent of the problem is difficult to see in the photos. Thanks Damo, the only problem with the one on ebay is how much it goes for and how I get it to SA.I am also trying to avoid using too much bog although I am well aware that I will have to use some as a minimum and not just in the sill panel.

Cheers all,Jamie.
