Hi all,
We're having a party for the FC's 50th and you're invited.
We have secured 2 Holden Retirees as guest speakers both are engineers.
John Lee started at Holden in 1950 and Franks Pound in 1951. They are long
time Friends and both have excellent memories and a wonderful sense of
humour. Please come along to listen to their stories as there are not too
many Holden engineer types left who had involvement with FE and FC and early
Holdens
RSVP by Monday 28th April 2008.
Regards,

Just for info, the date of the event is Friday the 9th of May - it is a day after the official 50th anniversary, but Friday is a better night for staying out late and the venue was booked on Thursday night.
For those from interstate that attended our 50th FE dinner, it will be a similar event with FC's on display and a sumptuous dinner with plenty to see and do.

Hope to see you there

Is there any chance that the Speakers could be either taped [just voice ] or videoed so that others who can not be present can hear these men and be enlightened by their memories and stories of their involvement of the FE & FC production as this sounds like one of those  once in a lifetime opportunities .......FC427......

Hi Alex,
Will speak to Sam who put the DVD together and will be putting the FC's 50th together as well. I can get him to send you one or if any of your club members are coming down Sam will have them on the night.
Cheers,
 Tony.

 Hi all,
Just a reminder if you are planning on coming along to our dinner in
celebration of the FC turning 50 years of age!

We have secured 2 Holden Retirees as guest speakers; Both were Engineers.
John Lee started at Holden in 1950 and Frank Pound in 1951. They are long
time Friends and both have excellent memories and a wonderful sense of
humour. We also have Jack Rawnsley, the last surviving Engineer that went
 to
America to work and bring back the 48/215 proto types. We have also asked
Hugh Videion to talk on behalf of  Tom Molnar who, when he left Holden,
 went
to PBR and help design and build the Repco head  with Phil Irving &
 Charlie
Dean which was first fitted to his FC.

Please come along to listen to their stories as there are not too many
Holden engineers  left who had involvement with FE and FC and early
 Holdens.

RSVP by Monday 28th April 2008.
