Hey all,
Just to let everyone know that after a work-related trip to Mt. Gambier last week that travelling at dawn, dusk and at night seems to be treacherous in the Mt. Gambier area at present.
Returning to Portland from Mt. Gambier one night I had an ongoing battle to avoid 'roos and bush chooks, especially around the pine plantations.
There were plenty that had already been cleaned up on the road too.
Some locals told me that they are at the worst numbers ever seen.

Remember my father, many years ago, cleaning up a 'roo out of Hamilton one night in our FE special - grey with white roof and red Detriot flash - very smart combination. Unfortunately it fixed up the LHS guard and bumper very nicely.

I travel Pt Fairy to Mt G often, and what PWB says is spot-on. If you want a pleasant drive thru this bit and dislike uninvited guests in the front seat with you, or re-arranging the front of your car, DO NOT travel this bit between 5 pm and 9 am (same goes for Princes Hwy Portland to the Mount, but Portland to the Mount via Nelson is worse)

Hi All
I have found another obstacle, hopefully this one can be over come.

Received a call from the car carrier this morning, before I go on any further I delivered the car to them as advised as I wanted the car delivered and ready for pickup first thing Monday morning (17th).

Well it would seem that today is Friday my car is still in WA and a train has derailed some wee between here and Adelaide.

Bloody trains my car was 10 days late when I moved to WA.

The derailment is holding every thing up. It looks as though the trains may be back on track by Monday and if all goes well my car will be on the first train out.

If that goes well it should make it to Adelaide buy Wednesday. Here is hoping keep your fingers crossed.
I also hope that this does not hold up the other three cars that where delivered after mine.

If every thing turns to shit and our cars do not make it on time the WA club will be quite happy to accept take the "Hard Luck Award".

That's not good news.
I hope they sort it out in time.
Could have been worse.......your car could have been on the derailed train!
Good luck from here on out.

All seem to be going well, I phone CEVA this morning and my car has arrived and will be ready for pickup at 1pm.
You have to be happy with that, I can now start to get excited. Have a few small jobs to do on the car with the help of my father inlaw.

See you all on Friday

Cheers Jim
