Yo
Like the title says. I am chasing a pair of panel van or ute rear springs.
I think they are either 6 or 7 leaf ?? Does anything else fit them?? EJ to HR ... or are they wider??
The ones in my van at the moment are 4 leaf ( sedan??) springs and the van wobbles around like soggy sponge cake Tongue.
I checked back through the for sales and found "fast Eddies" advert from a few months back .. unlucky already gone... ooooooooo Bugger Undecided

Prefer local around Newcastle but will travel to Sydney if need be.

Thanks
Reddo

Hi Ed
No big rush.
Yesterday will be fine Tongue
. I can come down one arvo after work or maybe next saturday.
Its your call mate . Grin
Just post here or PM me when you have them out of the car. I have posted the same adv on the FB/EK forum and have had a reply from "FB Mad" at Scone. He is no close to Newcastle than you are !!
Can ya pm me with a price???
They need to be at least 6 leaves . I think wagons are only 5.
But if you are pulling them out of a ute and they are originals they should be what i am after.

Regards
Reddo

I've only got 4 leaf sedan springs here Reddo but you could use the three bottom leaves and make up a 7 leaf spring using them.I'm heading down Reddoville way next Wednesday and can get 'em out and bring 'em with me if you need 'em.I've sent you a PM via FB/EK forum.

No problem if you decide to grab Eds springs, happy to help out if I can Cool Cool Cool

Cheers,

Terry.

For interest sake
215 and 225 have 4 leaf springs
217 has a 5 leaf spring
219 and 229 have a 5 leaf spring of higher rating than the 217
2106 and 2104 have a 6 leaf spring

Generally a wagon spring will work well in a sedan and a van/wagon spring will work well in a wagon

Van/wagon springs are generally too much for a sedan

Thanks for the info Ken.
I knew van springs where beefy suckers compared to sedans.
FCCOOL
Yup that was me at AHD with teardrop caravan and HX - GTS panel van.
The HX is now living in windsor.
I bought the FC panno the same weeked i sold the HX panel van.

I live in Barnsley which is the next suburb west of Edgeworth.

I can get an extra leaf made and fitted by Dumbrell springs to the 4 leaf set up for $70 a side. I figure that still wont be enough to hold the arse of the pvan up when i drop a full sized 1954 ply caravan on the towball.

Phill will probably have some over there . just havent caught up with him yet.

I had my springs done at dumbrells, they did a good job too.
were did you get the FC van?
do you know sean aka nasco out that way (barnsley)
if you need some transported from sydney my wife is also visiting a friend in holmesville so it shouldnt be too hard to pick them up.
my uncle who gave you the fan said he might have some springs somewere.

Hi Reddo,

Did you end up with a set of springs? If not I know I have a set/sets somewhere in my FC section - I am building a shed for my van - vans? and will sort out my FC stuff soon.
Merry Xmas,
