Can anyone tell me,does the part number on this coil tell me if this is a 6v or 12v coil?There is some remains of writing in white on the bottom but is not legible.I guess I could check the impedance of the coil and compare it to the others I have if nobody knows but I'm confident there are a few gurus out there that know the answer.Cheers.Jamie.

N526B - universal 6 volt coil suitable for most cars with 6 volt negative earth systems
For those that do the swap meet hunting

N529F is the universal 12 volt coil
1115087 is DELCO REMY universal 12 volt coil
1115043 is AC DELCO universal 12 volt coil
M32131 is LUCAS universal 12 volt coil

7409557 is NASCO coil for FE/FC Holden
7412976 is LUCAS coil for FE/FC Holden

All these coils are listed as available from GMH dealers in the Sept 57 Accelerator
The article lists the following data;
NASCO coils are standard equipment on GMH vehicles
AC DELCO coils are standard equipment on Vauxhall, Bedford, Rolls Royce vehicles
DELCO REMY coils are standard equipment on American & Canadian GM vehicles
LUCAS coils are standard equipment on most English vehicles

Hope this is of interest
