Thanks all although I'm not in competition with anyone here.I think the challenges I have laid down for myself have been accomplished. There are quite a few scratches in the paint which you obviously can't see in the photos but when I pushed her out in the sun they were harder to see. After a good hand polish I think I will be still happy with the result.I want to be able to use this car and enjoy it without worrying about what others think of it and if it looks good in the photos,no doubt it will look good in the flesh.Cheers,Jamie.

I agree with Jamie - no competition at all!  He can't help it if he picked the wrong model!  Wink Cheesy

You've done an amazing job Jamie and it will be a stunner that you'll have a great time driving.

Just remember....... after dusk, overcast days and rain will bring out your car's best!  Be prepared for it to be dirty as soon as it's clean and for those glorious days when that rare factory option of solar heating kicks in!  Cheesy  Nothin' like a black car! You gotta be a "special person" to own one and still love it after the first week! Grin

Well it's been a while again because we have been getting our house ready for sale so time on the FC has been a bit limited. In the last few weeks I've managed to do some bits and pieces. Here's a small update.Have installed the whole rear section of the wiring loom as well as the boot lock assembly, spare tyre bracket and courtesy light switches.Got back to some basic metal work and made up some patches for my front guards....

Speaker grill cleaned and painted

Pedal box cleaned,painted and installed

And more goodies some of which will hopefully be installed over the weekend.More soon,Jamie.

Thanks guys,I always feel bad when my updates are so lame but I feel that people might still want to know what's going on.Glenn...hehehe...don't beat yourself up so much.I wish I had half of your ability when it comes trim but there are some things that I will leave to others.I haven't done anything special here, just gave everything a red hot go and learned a lot from the results (mistakes)...more soon.

I always feel bad when my updates are so lame

lame?   LAME???     Huh Huh Roll Eyes

(OK then, this is what I've learnt today - I find 'lame' updates entertaining, educational, inspirational and valuable...
and I'm bloody certain I'm not on me 'Pat Malone' either)

more lame updates please, Jamie

Ok,ok I get it...Lame probably wasn't the right word to use.Anyway, while we're on the subject of updates, here's what I created today (not an original idea but one I've had since I picked up these gauges cheap at a garage sale)along with washing all the windows in the house, painting doors and god only knows what else in order to get this house ready for sale. Roll Eyes .In the last couple days I have also managed to get the glovebox lid and brackets stripped, painted and assembled as well as the wiper block and arms fitted and handbrake assembly stripped and painted.NT-FC,I sometimes go back to the start and read this thread myself.Sometimes I can't believe how much work I have done on this thing and other times I wonder why....More soon.

Gauge pod/ash tray now in primer...

What about a small servo motor they appear when the ignition is on and dissappear when you turn it off,i reckon that would be cool Cool
Some food for thought.
