Ed,
i decided to go for a different gearbox combo and didnt want to butcher a good set of extractors. I will lose out on these but any money i get for these will go into another set. Nothing worse than having a good looking car just to find corners have been cut. This is the FC with the VN rear end with trailing arms fitted which was in the modification section at the start of the year.It was set up by Mc Donald bros and i gave them a rap until the vehicle was put onto a rotisari. I had to rework some of the rear sheetmetal and shocker supports due to poor workmanship. Beware anyone thinking about using them.

I know the feeling Brett,

ive got a set of V8 extractors that go thru the guard sitting at home.. I reckon I may use them one day..also brand new.

also a set of pro made extractors that dont exit the guards, that just sit around...

sorry to hear about your bad experience with a professional builder, your standards and expectations are probably a lot higher now. Hope it wasnt too much problem to fix.

I also re-worked alot of outsourced work on my ride.. and 100% of my own work!
hang on I'm still ripping into stuff.

ahh the joys....

Cheers

Thanks ed,
but you know there are some things you leave for the "experts" only to find out that you could have done a better job yourself. This was one of those things. As a fitter by trade i was always going to do most things mechanically myself. The person who finished this job also manufactured a full chassis which looks like it was actually done by the manufacturer. The engineer involved said it was one of the best he had seen. if i new how to upload i would show you. I could email it to you if you wanted. I should also say that using the Torana front end i did not need to use a larger transmission tunnel. It is stock as it sits.
Regards brett
