Hi,

I have problem with my brake/ tail light.   When I press the brake, the brake light operates fine, but when I turn on the lights the brake light does'nt work , that is the tail light works ok. then when the brake is pressed the light goes out completly and its only on one side!
Can anyone help ??

Hi Griffo,it sounds a lot like you have some bad earthing problems.Try checking the main earthing connections check that you don't have ANY blown globes.Also,unplug the light fittings from the back of the tail lights (the globe and bayonet holders clip into the tailights from the back) and give them a good clean.I have had this problem many times.Cheers,Jamie.

HI Jamie,

I just went out to the shed and cleaned up the light fittings and ran an earth to the chassis and bingo everything works fine,
Thanks heaps for the advice/reply , you solved a minor headache.
