The project started today, I have donated the back off one of my wrecks and various other club members will be donating time and materials to complete the project.
First it will head off to Stephen Shepard's blasting business for a clean up, then some panel beating, fabrication and paint before coming back to my place for a re-trim.
Not sure how we are going to off-load it, there is a poll going for suggestions.

Hey Stinky,
How's the front half of the floor? I am interested if it's in fair shape as my van's floor is a shocker. (Some goose even cut out a portion of the under floor bracing over the gearbox rear extension Angry
Also need a front subframe in good nick?

Raffle it at the nationals, $5 a ticket - every member would buy at least one ticket? Non-members would surely buy a few too?
Cheers

Looks like I had better hook up the trailer for the trip over. Would hate to win and then have to leave it at the inlaws.

The shell has been blasted and primered, thanks to club member Steve Shephard

Soon it will be back to Lewiston so that I can make up the framework for the upholstery and get some legs under it.

Then it's off to the panel guys.

Work continues, today I welded in some square tube for general support and as a base for trim that will eventually go in. The rest of the trim framework will be either MDF or ply.
Next it's off to the club panelbeaters and spray painters.

Thanks go to minifcvan and ttv6fc for their donations of parts. There is still some parts we are after so if you can pitch in we would appreciate it.
Parts list here - http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,11808.0.html

A quick update, no pics.
Bodywork has now been finished by Scott Millar (collecta) and the lounge will be making it's way to Iain Burn's (itb) place for a splash of colour.

Another sponsor for the lounge, you can't have a novelty lounge without a novelty number plate.
So I contacted a place that advertises such services but they politely declined but offered to sell at their normal rate (starts with "SH" and ends in "oom"  and I think there's a b in the middle Roll Eyes ).
Then I contacted an old friend and fellow Lithuanian descendant Ziggy at Uncle Henry's Memorobilia
http://www.unclehenrys.com.au/
and he was more than willing to donate a plate.
Suggestions at the moment are
FC 50th
FC 1958

any other suggestions will be noted, maybe even used  Grin

Thanks for the offer Jim, but there is the slightest risk of the plates going into the wrong hands etc, etc and being traced back to you, so I'd rather not.
