Wanted, 2 Sports Steering Wheels.
One is the classic 70's style 'SAAS'
Three Silver Spoked, Thick Black Leather Bound Style.

The other is a 'Springalex' or 'Maxrob' 60's
Woodrim Wheel as seen in this old FB Custom.

All leads greatly appreciated

Martin,

It looks to me like the one that was on Ebay a few months back that caused all that controversy.

cheers

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110055026139

Its the only Digital Pic I have of that steering wheel to post.
I dont mean to stir anything up!
Personally I don't know what all the fuss is about.
And I don't want to know anyway.

I just want some old steering wheels

Yer Glen, thats a good one!

I have picked up a SAAS wheel from 'sgo', its a decent wheel,
and Im happy with the price.
It come with the shallow boss, & all the original horn pieces, and I happy!
Before that had even turned up in the post,
I found another one in 'Exellent Condition' on E-bay, at 1/3rd of the price.
Isn't that always the way!
So I bought that too!!
And now this turns up!!!
It looks to be great buy, but I was after an original one
with the old style SAAS horn.
I will put one together with the bits I now have,
and its just what I was after.

Sorry Glen & everyone else,
I should have let you know.

I'm still after the woodrim wheel,
and I reckon I'll have one soon.

I'll keep you all informed

Thank you for your help
much appreciated Wink

Ed,

The shape looks a bit like Austin 1800 or perhaps Renault 10/16 or Peugeot 404/504?

Cheers

thanks for that John, whatever they are I like 'em and initially looked high and low for a set for the wagon.. I came up short but found some nice HR buckets...  these were later sold as I went back to the bench (and glad I did).

I recall seeing a nice sports wheel in GOA350's car?

Cheers
