G'day

I am installing a fuel tank in my FE ute, however the fuel filler pipe has been modified and does not allow the tank to fit in position.

Can anyone assist me with the dimension of the filler cap end in relation to the outside skin of the car.

Also is there a cover plate that fits over the filler pipe.

Regards

John, about 10 mm from the panel to the base of the cap retainer piece which is soldered onto the neck.
There is no cover plate but there are 2 rubbers on the neck one in each spot where the neck passes through the inner and outer panels.

Hi Brad and Ken

Thank you for your quick assistance, this will give me ammo to correct the modified fuel pipe.

Brad if you could email your piccy's it would be extra ammo to attack this thing.

My email address is [plumer46@bigpond.com]
