On the rear of my FC, I'm sure these are the same as were on the back of a modified EH I had about ten years ago.

Which leads me to my next problem, my HK/T/G wheels mounting face is obviously different to the drums which is why my rear wheel studs only protrude just over halfway into the nuts! I feel like just throwing a set of 13's back on it....

Don't cut the U-bolts!!!! Add lowering blocks Are you running drop spindles on the front end? If so you make strike more trouble. I bolted everything up today and the bloody wheel wouldn't spin, backed off the nuts and found the rim was scraping in a couple of places on the lower ball joint. Goes to show how round the wheel is eh? It only scrapes in a couple of spots and not the entire circumference. Might do a bit of angle grinder work tomorrow How are you going to dress up you wheels? I tried one of those dariol moulds (67mm) I mentioned in another post and they worked a treat. A good set of chrome nuts and they will look the business.

No drop spindles, just lowered springs.
I may have another alternative for wheels, just seeing what the freight cost would be.

I am off to buy a bottle of peroxide tomorrow. Forgot that I hadn't tightned the ball-joints, intending for the place doing the align to go over the whole front-end and check/tighten everything. Once that was nipped up, no hassles!
Those wheel studs look a little short, but is the rim mounting properly on the hub? If the wheel is mounting correctly, I'd be looking for some longer wheel studs.

The wheel is hard up against the drum, but it's mounting face is completely different.
Mmmm, what to do.....
