thanks for all the replies

it does look like the colour in the photo above , however its a bit hard to judge as it has aged over time , but I think it looks more maroon that red

All single-tone Special FE and FC Sedans have a secondary colour on the inside, which is not listed on the ID plate. When this styling was introduced with single colour FJ Special Sedans, it was called "DuoTone", but you don't see references to this nomenclature subsequently.

My FE is Elk Blue, and has Teal Blue around the inner door frames and the inner B pillar. Dad's FC is India Ivory, with Flame Red inside.

I will be surprised if the secondary colour in your car is anything *other* than Etna Maroon, Phil.
