1  General / General Board / Windscreen wiper linkages on: May 13, 2025, 08:47:07 AM
Hi all,
I placed a call for a lhs wiper linkage for my FC, the linkage has too much play in it and is sloppy while moving which reduces the coverage on the screen.
Has any one out there got a set of linkages or any advice on how I can repair them.

H all,
Has anyone got an extra LHS wiper bezel and linkage I can get my hands on, or a way to repair the one I have. Mine has too much play in it and only wipes half the windscreen.  John

5  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: LHS FC quater vent lock on: October 03, 2024, 08:14:45 AM
In case anyone is interested I ended up disassembling the vent window and tacked the broken stub back in and it all worked well problem solved, it wasn't too hard to do I also replaced the rubbers while I was at it.

Thanks but the part that is broken is the stub that is attached to the metal part of the vent window I will have to try and get a complete assembly or try to silver solder maybe.
Found an assembly but they are asking a ridiculous price for it. I'll see how i go repairing it.

11  Technical Board / Restoration Help / FC Paint styles on: April 16, 2023, 12:17:14 PM
Hi,
Just wondering if there is any way of knowing the original painting layout (main body, roof and boot along with the insert) on my FC Color codes are Fountain Blue and Indian ivory insert, does that mean that the only part of the original scheme that was ivory was the insert and around the doors? Also I have just noticed that the chassis no and the number on the body identification plate are different, is this going to cause any grief to me?

15  Technical Board / General Technical / Grey motor dwell angle on: January 02, 2023, 07:01:07 PM
I am just setting up a grey motor I have rebuilt and was wondering if anyone knows what dwell angle should be on it using the original Bosch Dissy or do I just set the gap and leave it.
Also I am chasing a vacuum advance diaphragm as mine just don't work thanks all.
