General / General Board / Personalised Picture

I'm trying to put a picture in my profile, but it keeps shriking it down to 65x65 instead of the 128x128 that everyone else has.
Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem might be?
I've saved the picture as 128x128 and as a jpg and gif and I've also tried to save the pic as a larger pic and force the profile to shrink it down.

My car is modified with a 161 and an auto and I'm registered with Vigil.
I wouldn't rave about them and they are a little difficult to get to re-value the car once work has been done to it, but their age excess isn't too bad.
With the Shannon policy we were offered, by the time we'd paid all the excesses we'd only get half the money we were insured for. So it wasn't really worth it for us.

I'm soo unfashionably late. I thought we were still on the other forums I love these forums, very stylish Thanks for the help on our wipers, I'll check it all out. At least now we now that's not normal, so there is still a road to 2-speed wipers yet

We've got an auto in our wagon and a 161. She's our baby, I'm so glad we got an auto too. You're dead right about the fuel consumption, I've worked out that Myrtle gives us about 9L/100km , but considering how dodgy our speedo is its probably around 10-11L, but I still think that's pretty good. You have to take into account that the driving I do is all city driving and usually in peak hour traffic (she's my everywhere, everyday car). PLus when I'm driving in all that traffic I'm so glad she's an auto, a breeze to drive (pitty no air cond. though )

You can get the window winder remover tool (gee that's a mouthful) from Kmart at the moment for about $6, that's where we got ours. Cheers.

I want to know roughly how many kilometers/litre you can get from an FC holden. I know there a heaps and heaps of variables, but assuming it is a 6 cylinder, auto (will auto make a difference?) what is the fuel usage? Thanks heaps

General / General Board / restoration timeframes

Hi everyone! I'm looking for some rough timeframe estimates (as in number of hours) of FC modifications of the following: Change from a manual to an auto; Replacement of the engine: Installing disk brakes; installing air cond; and installing a stereo in the dash. I know there's a heap of stuff here, but I need a rough idea so I can gather my cash. I'm in Brisbane, so if anyone can recommend anyone to do this that would be great. Cheers, Carla
