2  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Clip, letters: HOLDEN on: May 08, 2014, 05:26:34 PM
Hello,

Anyone have any idea where to get the clips to attach the HOLDEN letters to the bonnet?

The man at rare spares said the ones they sell are too big for the pin.
3  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Spray painter Brisbane west. on: September 19, 2013, 07:51:48 PM
Hello,

After 54 years faithful service, I have decided it is time the old girl (http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,18768.0.html) gets a paint job. Can anyone recommend a good spray painter in the west side of Brisbane?

Thanks

David.

Hello,

Members may be interested in my FC Special Sedan.

It was bought new by my great grandfather in 1959, and has been in service ever since. Everything is in original condition with only minor mechanical repairs and regular maintenance through its life. It has done 60000 miles. It is now on light duties, only going out for Sunday drives in fine weather only.

7  Technical Board / General Technical / FC Flexible Brake Hose. on: January 07, 2011, 09:18:31 PM
Hello All,

After 52 yrs of sterling service, the brakes on my FC have started playing up. I am replacing the slave cylinders as they were a bit corroded inside. In the process, I have found that one of the flexible hoses (the only one I have off so far) appears to be restricted. I can't blow air through. I did manage to pump some brake fluid through (emptying the reservoir a couple of times) by connecting them up and pumping the pedal but this didn't clear the restriction. Is this normal?

If not, are new hoses readily available?

Thanks

David.
