Hi Ken Thanks for your reply I have seen many photos on different cars with battery in both positions ,with the positive terminal towards the starter motor

HI Does anyone know which is the correct position of the battery in stock fe Do the terminals sit on the engine side near the battery holder or are they on the lh inner guard side Thanks for any advise Ted

Hi I am looking for a wiper switch and chrome knob for a vacuum wiper motor on my Fe. Should come with the operation cable. I need a good vacuum valve on the back for the windscreen washer system hopefully all in excellent condition Kindest regards Ted

Hi I have found the quickest way is to remove no 1 spark plug and disconnect the coil wire so the engine wont start."Take note of where the no 1 spark wire is located on the distributer cap .Put your finger over the spark plug hole and get some to turn the engine over .Every time the compression pushes your finger away from the spark plug hole (causing a popping noise) the rotor button should be at the no 1 position on the distributor /rotor cap

Dear Alex Charlie is doing really well (I think he misses the FE 'a lot') As with the car I left her alone for a couple of years (alas poor Fe) but will be back on the road in a couple of months (My son has asked to have the car for his wedding so I have been working on it the last few months to finish her.I have asked dad to drive the car for me (He's really excited about the thought.) Could anyone please inform me if you can still purchase the rear parcel shelf board under the rear window as mine has deteriorated .Or does anyone have a template so I can make a correct shape. Kindest Regards Ted
