Hi I have found the quickest way is to remove no 1 spark plug and disconnect the coil wire so the engine wont start."Take note of where the no 1 spark wire is located on the distributer cap .Put your finger over the spark plug hole and get some to turn the engine over .Every time the compression pushes your finger away from the spark plug hole (causing a popping noise) the rotor button should be at the no 1 position on the distributor /rotor cap

Hi Pete
I have known of plastic lines that have come off the fittings after a while  so I prefer to fit the copper line

I purchased the gauge and it came with a copper line only -The instructions say that there is a flexable coupling supplied with the gauge. But alas this is missing in the box

18  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: Rear Parcel Shelf Board Help on: October 17, 2009, 03:55:05 PM
Dear Alex
Charlie is doing really well (I think he misses the FE 'a lot')
As with the car I left her alone for a couple of years (alas poor Fe) but will  be back on the road in a couple of months (My son has asked to have the car for his wedding so I have been working on it the last few months to finish her.I have asked dad to drive the car for me (He's really excited about the thought.)
Hope to take some pictures then and post them in the forum
Thanks for your interest .
Many Regards Ted
