Forgot to add that I'm asking $10,000 neg. Is this a fair price?
There very small amount of rust in the lower guards, I will take a picture and post shortly.
Motor runs fine but could benefit from tappet adjustment.

Well things have changed and I'm reluctantly offering the FC up for sale. Completely stock and un modified. Last regoed in NSW 1976. It has 27 something thousand miles on the clock. Had a couple of mates right into their FC's check the car out and they seem to think that the miles are genuine due to the condition of the car. The car is now running, but needs brake and clutch work (cylinders seized). I have started to polish the car and it is coming up very well as you can see in the last photos, I have done the roof, boot and top of the 1/4s. I also have an original sales brochure and service manual for the car. I will post more photos and details of the car the next chance I get. Please PM or phone me on 0422 689 252 for more details. The car is located in Canberra. Cheers Sam

I'd be looking for $11,000 neg so if you know any interested parties PM me. Forgot to add, I don't know FC prices (if it was an EK that'd be different) but is this a fair price?

Well I had a bit of time off with the arrival of the new bub. Didn't get nearly as much done on the FC as I'd like but still got a few things done. Got it running, still can't drive it as no brakes or clutch, but it runs . Buffed the roof, boot and rear 1/4 flash on both sides. Also removed the carpet and seat covers so you can see how good the interior is. A few pics Don't know the future of the FC I might have to sell it to recoupe some funds so I can by a FE - EK wagon that I can modify. I'd be looking for $11,000 neg so if you know any interested parties PM me. Cheers Sam

Hi Kathi,
Great thread! You've got two very nice cars there. Love the story behind the sedan and the van is sweet. Thanks for taking the time to post.

Thanks for all the kind words guys.
This site is awesome some great info to be found. Just put in the details of the car to find out colour year of manufacture etc. Very interesting.
The car still has a just ledgible NSW rego sticker from 1976. Does anyone know or had any luck tracing previous registration history? I wouldn't mind finding out more of the cars history.
Cheers Sam

FC427 wroteWhat a great car Grimbo what is the history of it ,how many miles on the clock , want to sell it to me ....FC427....... Last regoed in NSW 1976, the bloke whom I bought it from hadn't driven since and has tried selling it on and off over the last 10 years. It has 27 something thousand miles on the clock. Had a couple of mates right into thier FC's check the car out this arvo and they seem to think that the miles are genuine due to the condition of the car. As for selling it..... not anytime soon. My plans are to get the mechanicals sorted, brakes etc. Clean and detail the bejeezus out of it. Club rego and drive it.
