was just asked who actually owns holden australia.

and all these years never had really thought of that.
isnt it owned by shareholders?

anyone help please

Technically it is GMH, General Motors Holden, which is owned by General Motors in America. I dare say it is a publically listed company in the USA, ie shareholders, not sure how/if Aussies can buy into it though.

Whats even worse today I discovered our vegemite owned by Kraft America but made in Australia  will be made in China from next year. Shocked

I read somewhere recently that "the only thing better than Vegemite is the look on a tourist's face the first time they try it"  Grin  Personally, I can't stand the stuff...

And just to stay on topic, General Motors are indeed listed on the US Stock Exchange.

Looking up  the us stock  exchange as I do 5 days a week  I discovered  Kraft   foods   have a place on the list.

thanks for all that
i solved my vegamite problem by going to dick smiths.
tastes the same to me anyway.
and i used to hate it but vegi and cheese!
love it

love the bit about the tourists.
yea seen it myself think in a weird way it made me decide to like it.
