Something of note that I saw on an RACQ series last night was an FE getting put together and the guards complete with grill and lower cowl all being assembled first and then put onto the car as one piece by two people... Looked pretty easy by the way that they did it and was wondering if this happened at all assembly plants?

Jason.

Jason,

Similar footage (maybe even the same) can be seen on the "Greg Norman" Holden video.  It's been discussed here before, and experts (ie Ken) don't recommend it as a suitable method of refitting freshly painted kit.

cheers
