Well I got her home...left Albury area at 4am...arrived in Geelong........... MIDDAY  :-/ :-/
Lets just say I didn't have it on the trailer properly which resulted in me driving at 70km and hour tops... Tongue
nearly lost it 3 times...stopped by the po po's once and smoked a full deck through sheer terror and boredom.. Huh But arrived safely and now the work starts...or at least a long long list.... Grin
Anyways heres some pics...

Hi Nick,

It must have been the weekend of the FE wagons.

I got my wagon home as well yesterday!  Grin
Around lunch time, the open exhaust V8 FE announced her arrival home LMAO, the neighbours must be curious as to who's moved in next door.

now some real progress will begin.

on another note...

Your wagon looks nice and original...

It doesnt seem to have a chrome strip at the top of the tailgate.
did any FE/FC wagons have this chrome strip?

Cheers

Ed

looks like a good start ,
next time you use a weapon sorry (tandem Trailer) make sure more weight is at front of trailer as it will get the sways up real quick loaded like you had it bud, very very dangerous, your damn lucky to have made it home with wagon set so far back.
i think we have all done it as a learning curve so dont take this as critisism , the other thing that is real bad is when trailer has all different tyres even some hire trailer places do it to save money,

Thanks Guys,
Not taken as critisism at all Nicko, problem was I had only seen one wagon loaded up on a trailer before, with the use of a couple of spare wheels as stops at the front, I just didn't take into account it was a larger trailer  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes and Jamie pointed out the fact that it was a shit trailer with those wheels as soon as he saw it!! Inexperience  Shocked...
Lucky for me  I checked the tyre pressure also...two wheels on one side were 38psi  Shocked the other two were at 30psi  Shocked Shocked
Bloody death trap....my nerves have just about recovered....lol

Ed all special FE wagons should have a chrome stripe around the top of the lower tailgate - it continues the chrome stripe which follows the hip line down the side of the car.  Obviously the FC didn't have it because the stripe travels down the rear of the car and stops before reaching the taillight.
No standard wagons had body stripes except for the small diecast pieces on the front mudguards.

Ken
By the way Nick - top effort, look forward to seeing it.  Will you have it on the road for the nats?

I thought you would have loaded it iback in first being Irish n all  Tongue I know "Not funny "
Ive always loaded my trailers by eye ,Have someone watch as the car goes forward untill the trailer levels up ,Ive never had it weighted more towards the front as Nicko says but Ive never had any drama's but I think I will try it next time...

Hey ED Ive got a full set of FE wagon trim  ner ner ,It'll get used on the van most probably but I think I might have to chop em for the lengthened doors  Shocked .
I'll do the same mate I'll keep my good eye peeled for ya.
