Check out this page http://www.eposode.com//fc%20test/Natarchives/NatArchive.htm

There is a few photos I haven't seen before so I thought it was worthwhile sticking them up for everyone to have a look at. Lots of FE stuff, Grey motor assembly, front end assembly (wouldn't most of us love a new front end now  Cheesy ), and even a picture of the Nasco factory with an FE out the front. Probably looking for some proper blinkers (that's gunna get me in trouble Wink )

There is about 500 Kbytes of data, so be patient. It could take a few minutes to appear.

All credit to the National Archives etc etc

Happy viewing.

Cheers,

Craig.

Hi Craig.
Cool photos. I have never seen any of those photos before. As far as I am aware they have never been published before. Whose site is that? I tried to get in but it said I was not authorised to be in there :-/. How did you find them? Are there more?

Alex, Gary,

Have a look here. http://www.naa.gov.au/the_collection/photosearch.html

This is a link to the Australian National Archives Photo Collection. There is heaps of Holden stuff, but only some of it is available for viewing on the web. It looks as though they have plans to post the complete collection so there should be even more FE FC stuff.

Enjoy.

Craig.

Craig,

Great work sniffing those out.  If you do a search for Holden and then for GMH you wind up with even more.

I've grabbed every one I could  find that looked interesting or belonged to the 1956-59 period, along with its caption.  Be warned, some of them that purport to be Melbourne 1959 must be far earlier, prob 1949 I guess, since they show humpies.  Theres a whole series of them L300xx like that.

Gary,

Register on the site with a proper login, and you can get access to the club-members only area.  Ring me if you have problems.

cheers

G'day guys...

There is another "gold mine" of Holden photos, more than likely very similar, if not some shared ones with the site mentioned above, at http://www.pictureaustralia.org/servlet/pa ... just type in "Holden" under "search" and although some of the pics seem to be under copyright and low resolution, there are plenty there... some seem to be old "family photo ablum" type stuff and therefore also not published anywhere before....

Cheers...
Les....

Does this one count for the archives?Huh
It sat in this paddock for the last 30 years before I got the front off it.

GIDDAY ALL

CHECKED OUT THE ARCHIVE SITES. SOME REALLY INTERESTING STUFF. DID ANYONE HAPPEN TO NOTICE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS TAKEN IN THE SPRAY PAINTING PHOTOS?
