Gday mate,
are you trying to track down this particular car because it has sentimental value, or will any pink & cream wagon do?  If you are chasing a particular car, do you know if it still exists?  When did you last see it?  Where?  All this helps when trying to locate a vehicle.  Do you have body numbers in case the car was repainted or reregistered?
Sorry about all the questions, but they are ones you'll probably need to consider.

Good luck with your search & welcome to the forum.

cheers, Shayne Cheesy

Hi Shayne

Thank you for the advice. Yes the car does have exteme sentimental value. The car was sold in Brisbane (Albion) back in 1988 and at the time it was Pink/cream. The car belonged to my Grandfather and was originally registered in NSW and then moved to QLD in 1988.

I hope this may assist me getting closer to finding "EMILY" The name given to the car by my grandfather.

"Pink and Cream" would probably be the same as Brett Gillard's car from Victoria.  From memory its a Terracotta and Adobe Beige car, and the Terracotta can look very pink when it fades.

Does anyone have a photo of Brett's wagon they can post?

Cheers,

Craig

Heh Craig
Brett does have a photo of his car that will now be going to the Nationals if any one would like to see it Email me as i have no idea how to post it on the forum i have previously tried but i thought it was better to keep my computer in a usable state{ not smash it to bits  through frustration!} The car this guy is trying to scource could well be a true pink and white/cream as it was a color quite popular in sedans in 1958 and i would think it was used in wagons as well. Though what craig says is quite true as the terra glo can look quite pink in different lights and states of paint wear and tear.
Good luck in your search.
If you have rego and motor details the AOMC may have it on there data base.

Thanks again for your help, I think you are right it would have been Terracotta and Biege originally.

However I don't know if the car would be in Victoria as it was sold in Brisbane to a guy that lived on Bribie Island and  apparently he belonged to the FC Car Club and was going to restore it to original condition.

If anyone else can help me with my search for Emily the FC Station Wagon  I would love to hear from you.    Cheesy

P.S I am a girl !!!!

Ring the NSW or QLD rego people, ask to have a search done ,you can do it it in Vic,costs about $14.They should be able to tell you if it is still registered and a brief history. If it is still registered they wont give you the owners details but they can send a letter to them to get them to contact you.

Cheers Geoff
Ps or you could apply for those plates as personalised issue and see if they are available.

Hi

Wow what a great looking car!!

The car I am looking for has the opposite colours to this car. The cream area's are terracotta and the vica versa.
So if anyone owns or has seen one the opposite to this please contact me.

Cheers

Sorry to say but non of the QLD club members own a wagon in those colours that I know of.

However there is one in the WA club.

G'Day Sonya,
I just bought a terracotta/beige '59 wagon which had originally been bought from someone in Mackay I beleive.Have you got any more details that could identify whether it might be the one you're looking for? I haven't taken delivery of it yet but do have some pics i could send.

I have not got a clue how to attach pics to this discussion group although I'm sure it's simple so either if someone would like to tell me how to, or I can email them direct to you if you let me know your email address.

<----------- ,
or at the top of "Real Cars" RET has put the directions for "posting a photo"   ,   don't  worry , took most of us ages to learn how to do it.   Grin
