hi all

just wondering if you could help me with some oil problems
obviously having no oil filter in the old grey the oil gets pretty dirty but mine seems to be getting very black very quickly.
is there an oil that is better to use than others in the grey motors?
and what is the best grade oil to use in the 3 spd crash box

any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks Paul

how often is the car driven and is it driven long or shot distances

if it is driven long distances eg freeways etc use a more thicker denser oil, 4 short distance use thinner oil but not that thin

in a rural car crash they are " Hold my stubby and watch this for skill!"

Hi, Paul.
I use regular GTX in my grey. Is your car a regular driver or a periodic driver. Sitting around for long periods the oil can become contaminated. When you do drive it, make sure it's a good drive. I don't have an oil filter & try to stick to 1000 mile changes.
