Here's my FC sedan's plate - about $400.00 initially, around $280.00 per year.
I reckon Nunzio's got it good in WA!!!

To explain the ongoing fee in NSW:
Last year, the NSW RTA introduced an annual fee of $100 for new Personalised plates, in addition to the ordering fee. Typically these are in a 3 letter - 3 numeral format, 2 letter, 4 number etc.
Fortunately the annual charge was not applied retrospectively.
Custom plates, which have up to 6 characters, such as Craig's plate have a significantly higher annual fee.
Regards
Edward

I have SA plates FC0058, one off fee of $170 new plates included. This fee gives a 5 year hold from the date payment. There are no other fees as long as they stay with that car. Not sure if I will ever move back to SA but hey they are mine until March 2008.

WA plates seem cheap for some great choices (at the moment).
Queensland personalised plates are now run as a private company providing a service to state govt. Take that to mean more choices at greater cost. Once the WA state govt realises they can get more by privatising the plate sales, and getting a fee for doing nothing, they will go that way too.
