In the Cars for sale section the interior shot of the FC Wagon for sale shows a door-pull handle lined up with the rear of the opening handle.
Is this the preferred place to locate the pull handle or is there any "correct" position?

I don't believe there is a standard position but this does appear to be a common spot.

It also depends on the type of pull handles. I've seen the one with multiple screws placed further up the metal panel.

The pivot of the door handles is a good reference point for the mounting of each pull handle to each door to ensure consistency.

Both my 217's which have the pull handles fitted from the factory, have the front set of screws about half an inch forward of the centre line of the door handle.
I would think this is where they would be fitted in the original accessory instructions as well.

My 217 Door Pulls are in a similiar location.
One photo shows "as from factory" before starting rebuild, other photo was taken recently as it all goes back together.  If you look closely the screw holes for the handle can be seen.
