With the rack & pinion steering what steering coloum do you use, and do you have too fit the chassis kit. I have never fitted one of these kits nor have I seen one. I am just trying to picture it. May-be tomorrow before I start talking to old Jack No 7. Wink

Which steering column depends on where you want the ignition. torana on the column or if you want to retain it in the original position you could install a HK column. But it has to be a collapsible type column to meet rego.

I also have 2 of these Collapsable HK.Ht HG, columns .  1 is a manual column , The other is an Auto column .  $75 each, Includes steering wheel, Blinkers etc etc.... If someone wants the Hr crossmember with rack  and a Collapsable Column I will make it $450.

You need an EH sump and oil pick up to fit a red motor into an FE/EK with a HR crossmember.
Some others may fit, but EH is best.

Eh sump is right if it's standard steering rear mount, but with this crossmember being front mounted rack and pinion could I use any other model EG: a HR sump.

with freight on big items interstate you can often get the heavy transport truck company's to deliver depot to depot by getting one of the small pine pallets and wrapping them with heavy plastic to seal water out ,as long as they can fork it on you would be surprized just how cheap it is.i sent a Ford Boss 302 two years ago from Hervey Bay (country QLD) over to Perth depot for $380 and it weighed heaps more than a front end

Glad to hear your exporting Ford crap out of here.lol

Slim
Sorry I think the trouble and cost of getting it up here is not worth the trouble. Will keep looking up this end of the world, as I am in no real hurry at this point. Still got Hilda to finish before I can even get My Wagon in the shed.
