Can anyone tell me if you can still buy the original hoodlining material?  I plan to redo mine, visors and all.  I also need the piping for around the doors (dark green)Anyone with supplier/cost etc.  I am in Brisbane.

Original hood lining n/a as far as I know
The coloured FE piping is available from Rare Spares or most of the other rubber sellers

FC piping which is black with a silver fleck is also n/a as far as I know

ABOUT FIVE YEARS AGO I GOT SOME BAILY CHANNEL FROM VINTAGE PARTS AND PANELS AT MITCHELTON. THE Y HAD HEAPS OF PIPEING IN STOCK. DONT KNOW IF THEY ARE STILL AROUND BUT HERES SOME DETAILS .PH3354 2053 43 BLACKWOOD ST.PO BOX 6095 MITCHELTON QLD 4053. BIZ CARD SEZ THERE THE AUTHORISED DISTRIBUTOR FOR PETER JACKSONS OLD AUTO RUBBER CO. MIGHT BE WORTH A LOOK BECAUSE THEY WERE CHEAPER THAN RARE SPARES.

Sorry to hijack here Jimmy,

Ken, was all FC piping black with silver fleck? What about windlacing (or is it the same stuff?)  My interior is blue and black.

Thanks Jimmy

Nige,

For what it's worth - I can confirm Ken's advice (how could you doubt the man!).  My FC interior is blue and black (trim no. 308-630 Viscount blue/black).  The windlace/piping is definitely as Ken says - black with silver fleck/thread (I just went out to the garage & had a look).  And I would bet my left gonad (nothing to lose at my age!) that my interior is original (so is the car's).

Regards,

Martin

Thanks Ken,

No doubts at all Martin, just confirming I had read the post correctly.

The problem is that windlacing is available just about everywhere, but no one does black with silver fleck.

Rare Spares has black with gold fleck.

If anyone has found a source of black/silver fleck please list here.
