Hi fellas.
Here is a shot of my Dads FC when he first got it. It was a well optioned demonstrator, that included radio, mudflaps, grille badge, bonnet bird & alloy wheel trims. He added the little nodding dog accessory in the rear window Grin!!
He had it for a few years, but then sold it. I tried to track it down & was successful......kind of....It was totalled a few months before I found it & wound up at the Hobart tip Cry Cry
I love that colour scheme.

Here is my first FC. It was a very run down, but original car. I restored it (My first go), but in this shot had not put the side trim back on, due to lack of correct clips :-/.
This car was sold when I needed a wagon for my first born, but disappeared. I have no idea where it is.
Engine bay was fully chromed.
This is the car I set on fire while welding in floor pans Shocked Shocked

The car that started it all, this is why I didn't grow up in a F##$ family

Dad's FC bought in 63 for around 1000 pounds and sold in 70 for $300 and now he wants it back Wink

Here's a pic of the second FC I owned.
Unfortunately it was stolen and never seen since. There is a thread in the real cars section that has more pics.

Unfortunately, these aren't cars I used to own, but cars I "coulda-woulda-shoulda" had.  Well, according to my Dad anyway, I was " supposed" to inherit the old family car as my 18th birthday present, had all survived.

1st is Dad's EK, before and after shots.  2nd is the R/T Charger the family had when I was born - unfortunately, whilst we were living in Malaysia, it was stripped whilst it was in supposed safe storage back home!  3rd & fourth cars were our family transport when I was a teenager, 4.1litre Cortina & GTR XUI (which Dad didn't let me drive on my L's).

When I got my licence at age 17, I went against the family taste for 'faster' cars and bought the car that I'd saved for since I got my first paper round at age 10: a stock FC (pictured left).  Later, I bought a modified FC wagon (after I accepted that a little more speed can't hurt).

Obvious question is “Why the F*** is there a F*** in the photos?” - this is another "coulda had" story.  Once we got back from Malaysia to find the Charger stripped, we went used car shopping at Parramatta Rd.  We found a tough red & black SS Torana Hatchback which Dad put a deposit on immediately.  When we went back the next day to pick it up, the Holden Dealer had sold it to someone else for more money!  Dad was so p*ssed off with them that he went straight to the F*** Dealer and got the Cortina instead (of course, he later wished he’d just waited for the next Torana and eventually got the GTR-XUI which we restored).

I've just emailed Brad W (fcfromscratch) some photos(my 1st attempt at posting)  of my cousins posing with FC's in the 1960's.
Maybe they can be posted here Brad.
