OK guys what plate is this from?

And because I cannot (nor can ret) post piccys here any more then you will have to follow this link to see what I am talking about...

andrew   dunno but on fc s 585 means its dulon lacquer and in 1960 colour 09893 was castile green & 09562 was grecian white so......appears to be built in sydney in 1960 .. green with white top......do you have any other clues?? guess youve thought of the obvious like vauxhalls, chevs etc that were built by gmh

You know the Holden ID code represents the year the prototype was made, well the ID plate in case is from 1960 ish so....  was the FD prototype made in 1957 in between the FC and the FE?

Just tell me if I'm being stupid.

Grin This ID plate came from the farm of secret stash of FC Holdens Ken ... I was offered the same explanation as you have just come up with (from the owner) but feel now thats its likely to ba a Vauxhall plate. Owner could not recall what car he got it from.
