Told forum member Peter who lives up that way to check it out if he has time as it might be good for one of the members.

$2500 for that FE wreck......I think there might be better value out there, and not too far away on these boards. (but not the one below)

Here's an FC also on Car Point.

I tend to argree with alex $2500 for a FE wreck is way over the top especially from Parkey parts who are not renown for there super quality or as a mate of mine who lives in Albury says they can be bandits. It would need to have a lot of good gear on it to be worth that money!

Thats ludicrous !!! What Leon Spicer just Sold for $1200 was worth $2500. That is worth $500.  MAX. Unless the Boot is laden with Gold Bullion !!

Hi All,
I think your all getting worked up over nothing as the add says  "fe for wrecking"   and in the next sentence "FOR SALE hk premier 186  ........$2500 " Just thought I'd point this out.

Yes, that is what I thought for a minute as well, Mick. But then I noted ion the top left corner, it says FE Standard Sedan. blah, blah, $2500.
Have a look & you will see.

Mick
I agree with you, the writing at the top refers to an engine number 186P115546 which is for a red 186 as per the HK sedan in the bulk of the ad.
I think the FE at the top is just to catch our sort of peoples interest, and then leads to all the other  stuff they are wrecking, after all if it said HK we would not even have seen this posting Shocked

I agree as well, it looks like the HK is $2500.00.

A wrecker who thinks that he can get $2500.00 for a complete FE in that condition wouldn't be in business very long. Or he would be bored witlesss waiting for customers!

If he parted it out, then he would maybe get $2500.00.

Cheers,

Craig.

I think the 'HK Premier 186, manual, power steering, suit restoration, parked 20 years ago, 72,000 miles' sounds pretty good for $2500!

I think I'll have to go and have a look at this car as it has generated a bit of interest, and isn't far from where I work in Albury).  I'll also get the best price Parkey has to offer.  True he isn't cheap but I have always found his parts to be good quality.

Cheers

Hi Peter,

Could you please have a look at the FE Standard interior and let me know its condition/colour/price if possible. One of the NSW guys was interested in it for his restoration.

Cheers,

Craig.

FWIW the NSW member in question has already spoken to Parkey and made arrangements for the interior.

Excellent news RET - I hope he gets the stuff he was looking for. He left me a message on Saturday afternoon but I was up to my arms in FC Wagon gearbox and didn't return his call.

Cheers,

Craig.
