My FC data plate reads FC-229-17620-A. Does that mean it was number 17 thousand 620.If s How many special wagons where made.

17620th FC Special wagon body produced in the Adelaide (Woodville) plant I believe. Subframe stamping, unless replaced as often happened, tells you assembly plant sequencing.

There were 30203 FC special wagons made in Adelaide and 6825 made in Melbourne. Total of 37,028
