The wiper actuating shafts, behind the dashboard, have a nylon/plastic bush at ech end. The bushes on my wipers are worn out and I would like to replace them. Has anyone worked out a fix for these? Thanks, Fraze

Hi Fraze
When I replaced the pins and bushes in my front door hinges I kept the old brass bushes..I had the same problem when I replaced the vacuum wiper with electric motor...the rubber bushes were perished..I cut the old brass bushes down and used them in the wiper arm holes,I soldered  them in the arms and they fit and work well hope this helps
Cheers Dennis

Fraze another good use for the old hinge bushes I found was for the gear linkage rods, I bought the new rubber grommets for the bottom end of the steering column but found they were still sloppy so fitted the old brass bushes in the grommets took all the extra play out of the gear changes, I never throw anything away as you find a use for them eventually
