G'day all,

It will be awhile until I get around to needing this fitting as my car is still in the rotisserie but thought I would would check with you guys to keep me interested. I have a Wilsonia gauge to go into my FE and found this adaptor in my parts hoard. I have read that you use the standard type oil filter adaptor for fitting a Wisonia gauge but am interested in peoples thoughts on this adaptor as it has the small fitting that looks like an oil line fitting to me, what do you reckon?

I will be fitting an oil filter also, could some one post pics of the way this was all plumbed in back in the day, trying to make it as original as possible.

thanks Al

Looks like an NPT tapered tee fitting that has had a small nipple screwed into it. The nipple looks to be suitable for compression fittings (using an olive).

Cheers,

The female nut you slide on your tube must have the size hole to suit the diameter of the tube you use , and follows then the correct olive to suit the tube or pipe that you choose, copper or steel or nylon ..people like Industrial Fitting Sales or Westinghouse Air and Brake keep NPT and BSP fittings ..cheers Vern ..

You need a three outlet adapter if you’re fitting a Wilsonia as well as an oil filter. The only ones I’ve seen are new ones which are a compromise. If you’re feeling brave you could eliminate the oil warning light and put the filter hose into the top of the adapter.
