I've been trying to locate some big end studs. I've tried as SBC and Rocket industries. Does anyone know where I can get some?

Are you after some standard grey motor conrod big end bolts (the ones with a flat head that press in)?
I've got plenty of used ones you are welcome to.

Quick question. I found my stash of conrods, and thought I had better check before I start pressing studs out. How do you measure bolt/thread stretch in these, and what is the spec? I had a look-see through the Workshop manual and a couple of Repco refinishing manuals, but couldn't find any guidance. Figured it would be just my luck to send you a dozen shagged bolts.

Maybe you can make a heavy wall spacer tube with the length of the contact length of the conrod pieces & torque the bolts & nuts up in a vyce. Cheers John
