Rabbit,
Try Antique Tyres, they have some expensive ones $400+ each and apparently some budget ones too. Not sure about 13" fittings but they definately have 14".

Ph: (03) 9458 4433

If you like I can bring along their catalog when I collect the rims next week.

G'day Gents,
Yes I can recommend Antique Tyre Supplies (Heidelberg Vic from memory). I bought a set of Cooper whitewalls there that are on my FC. Not a bad tyre and I think they were about $130ea about 3 years ago. They are also very pleasant people to deal with.

Cheers,

Graham.

I also bought a set of Porta-Walls from Antique Tyres just recently.  Don't the tyre-fitting service guys back away when you turn up with a packet of those!

$130/set of 4.  And they look great on my cross-plies.

cheers

As Ret said they look great.Ret you need to watch how you take your photos as your car almost looks like that grey undercoat colour.

There were machines around that would spin your wheel around ( while still on the car ) and smooth out a narrow sidewall strip and then apply paint, either white or red, to give a coloured sidewall.  A lot of car yards had them to "snazz up" their cars.  Are they still around??

I am keeping it that colour.  It's quite obviously blue.  So you agree your car would look better blue, then?

Sorry Rabbit, your thread on White Walls seems to have been hijacked by the Grey Army...

No the grey still looks good I would consider a washed out blue as my second choice. Any way what is wrong with a nice grey car it has appeal.

Rabbit
This is one arguement no one will win, once grey (Primer colour) is mentioned a thread is doomed to be overrun by the everlasting arguement "IS Grey a True Colour"

Post pics. when I get , hopefully soon. This bloke at work has said that the dude that owns this car want's to sell it to me . Cool.

Try being colour-blind...  at my first FE-FC Nats (back in '95) I just assumed that Holden painted all of their cars two-tone grey  Smiley  Go GREEN - ugh no, not environmental, just two-tone  Smiley

Good luck with the white walls Rabbit

I'm tempted, but not THAT easily baited. Wink

Poor Rabbit, he only wanted some advice about whitewalls and had his thread hijacked by the Osama Bin Primer brigade. Bloody black and white terrorists!

Cheers,

Craig.
