Most people with older cars give them a name. so what's your old Gertie called ?
Having just read ATC59FC's write up about his first run in Mable I thought I would throw it open and see what's out there

The Saul family own the one and only "Gertie".

My FE is just known as "the Ol' Girl". The modified I used to have had number plates FEC00L, and when she played up occasionally that was pronounced "Faecal" Cheesy

My FC Ute gets called the 'Dute' because it's a daily driver and used to cart my two English Mastiffs and house Reno materials around.

My FC Sedan was called Firecracker by a friend as he said it was "small red and went off with a bang"

We have "Jean" the FC which is named after the original owner and also "Grandma" FC which is because it's Grandma's (Kathy's) car.

Other models we have are- "George" the EH, "Iris" the FB, "Craig" the Lowndes edition VF Commodore.

Our son has "Austin" the HR named after the original owner.

Mum & Dad have a VS and FX named "Bill & Ben" (the FX is named after Ben Chifley), Dad also has a VF SS Ute called "Kimba" (the white Lion).

Thanks to all for the names that you have applied to your cars.
I have thought long and hard and my grandson, coming up 6 years old suggested Bluey !
So there you go cobbers, to those in the know you will recall those 2 Aussy diggers Bluey & Curly, now all I need is a decent picture of those two cartoon characters and that's all sorted.
